Just Temptation is a fast-growing pan-European film music company based in Berlin, which provides independent European producers and directors with original music funding, comprehensive support and a full range of film music services.
Film music triggers emotions and tells the story. It simply has the power to turn a good film into a masterpiece! A good soundtrack can also reinforce the film’s communication, generate a buzz effect and help the film achieve success!
Very often the cinema and music worlds are not properly connected though. Film producers feel discouraged by the complexity of music rights and film directors complain about the lack of budget for music in films, as they see music as a key component of the project much like the cast.

GHOSTHUNTERS - ON ICY TRAILS - Ralf Wengenmayr (2015)
Just Temptation has provided original music financing and music consultancy as well as the collaboration with music supervisor Pia Hoffmann for the animated film 'Ghosthunters – on icy trail’. This epic score composed by renowned film music composer Ralf Wengenmayr clearly creates a seldom atmosphere of classic mystery to the film. 'Ghosthunters – on icy trail' is a German family film co-produced by Warner Bros. / Lucky Bird and starring, among others famous actors, Anke Engelke, Christian Tramitz and Christian Ulmen.
'Ghosthunters - on icy trail' is based on the eponym book by Cornelia Funke and narrates the story of very distinct characters that ally in the fight against an Ancient Ice Ghost (AIG): the trio includes the loveable yet pretty slimy Hugo – an ASG (Averagely Spooky Ghost), Tom - an easily scared boy, and Hetty - a professional ghosthunter. The questions is will the team manage to save their town from the next ice age?
COLD BEAT - BEYOND DESSAU DANCERS - Marc Collin (2015)
For the German production Dessau Dancers, Just Temptation has provided original music financing and services such as music supervision as well as music rights clearance. Through the album 'Cold Beat', the film's main composer Marc Collin (Nouvelle Vague) has taken the film's score “beyond Dessau Dancers”. Collin keeps the 80s spirit but invites guest artists from his own entourage and makes real hits out of this early breakdance era's soundtrack. The album will be available on JT/Kwaidan Records as of April 24th.
Marc Collin explains: “once I finished working on Dessau Dancers' score I did not want to leave the musical universe from GDR's 1985. I felt the need to take one step back and two steps forward, reinterpreting the songs inviting guest artists from my own entourage who I knew could take the songs to another place - “beyond Dessau Dancers”. This is how the album came to life.”
DESSAU DANCERS - Jan Martin Scharf (2015)
Just Temptation has provided financing and supervision for the original music for the new film by director Jan Martin Scharf. Dessau Dancers that tells the unbelievable story of how Breakdance came to the GDR - in German cinemas from 16 April. Dessau Dancers is produced by Boogiefilm and co-produced by Senator. Composers of the film score are Marc Collin, Jazzanova, Matthias Arfmann & David Achinger and Patric Catani.
Dessau, East Germany, 1985: 18-year-old Frank and his friends have been infected by Breakdance fever. At first they are suspiciously monitored by the ruling regime. But when the socialist government realizes that it cannot stop them, they try to exploit them instead. DESSAU DANCERS combines a certain nostalgia for East Germany a la Good Bye Lenin! with the impressive moves of youth-driven dance films such as the Step Up and Street Dance franchises.
DANCING ARABS - Aravim Rokdim (2014)
JT has financed the original music of 'Dancing Arabs', the tragic comedy co-produced by Heimatfilm, RIVA Filmproduktion, United Channels Movies, MACT Productions and Alma Film Production. The film is by Israeli director Eran Riklis, produced by Chilik Michaeli, Michael Eckelt, Antoine de Clermont-Tonnerre, Avraham Pirchi, Tami Leon, Bettina Brokemper while the score is by Israeli composer Yonatan Riklis.
'Dancing Arabs', based on the eponymous novel by the Israeli writer Sayed Kashua Palestinian, narrates the path of the young Eyad from the Palestinian town Tira on the Israeli elite boarding school towards a decision between the Palestinian identity and Jewish assimilation.
LEGENDARY - LEGENDARY: Tomb of the Dragon (2013)
JT has financed the original music of 'Legendary'LEGEND, the family action-adventure co-produced by Midsummer Films and China Film Group. The original music is by BAFTA winning & Ivor Novello-nominated British composer Paul Leonard-Morgan.
The film is directed by Eric Styles and stars Dolph Lundgren, Scott Adkins, Lydia Leonard and James Lance.
MAICOL JECSON - Moonwalking Distance (2014)
JT has financed the original music of 'Maicol Jecson', the feature-length indie comedy of universal appeal produced by 999 Films and Rai Cinema. The film's original music stars indie pop band Amari and its soundtrack additionally includes tracks by Rovina, Smart Cops, Canadians, Niagara, and Lilies on Mars.
The film is directed by Francesco Calabrese and Enrico Audenino, and will be out in Italian theaters as of July 17th (distributed by Wider Films).

LITTLE FROM THE FISH SHOP - Malá z rybárny (2015)
JT has provided music supervision to LITTLE FROM THE FISH SHOP, the feature-length puppet animation produced by Miracle Film (Czech Republic) in co-production with Marlen Media (Slovakia) and Les Trois Ours (France). As an adaptation of H. Ch. Andersen's 'The Little Mermaid', the fairy-tale romance-drama is directed by Jan Balej and produced by Nelly D. Jencíková, and features a score by French artist Chapelier Fou.
HAPPY TIMES - Tiempos Felices (2014)
JT has co-financed the original music by Marc Collin and provided film music services to HAPPY TIMES, the Mexican comedy directed, written and produced by Luis Javier M. Henaine together with producer Alejandro Blazquez de Nicolas (Celuloide Films, FIDECINE, EFICINE 226).
'Happy Times' is a witty and sophisticated comedy that tells how hard it is to end a romantic relationship scheduled for release in 2015.
YOU CARRY ME - Ljubeznivo (2014)
JT has financed the original music for 'You Carry Me' by Italian film music composer Teho Teardo and provided music supervision to YOU CARRY ME, the feature-length family drama produced by 4 Film (Croatia) in co-production with Vertigo / Emotion film (Slovenia) and Sloane Film Production (Serbia).
Directed and written by Ivona Juka and produced by Anita Juka, Danijel Hocevar and Biljana Nikovic. ‘You Carry Me’ narrates about three daughters who battle for acceptance, redemption and new opportunities. They brush without knowing how much they have in common. All three carry their fathers, yet they need them to confront themselves.
THE PRICE OF DESIRE (2014)
JT will finance the original music of 'The Price of Desire', the drama-romance directed and written by Mary McGuckian, co-produced by Ireland, France, Belgium and Canada - and whose score will be composed by Irish composer Brian Byrne.
The film tells the controversial story of how Le Corbusier effaced and defaced Eileen Gray's moral right to be recognized as the author of her work and as one of the most forceful and influential inspirations of a century of modern architecture and design.
BROKEN HILL BLUES - Ömheten (2013)
JT has financed the original music of and provided film music services to 'Broken Hill Blues', the Swedish drama directed by Sofia Norlin, produced by Olivier Guerpillon, and whose score is composed by Conny Nimmersjö and Anna-Karin Unger.
The film won ‘Best Cinematography’ at 2014 Guldbagge Awards, and had its international premiere at the Berlin Film Festival 2014 in the Generation 14+ competition. The length-feature drama tells the story of a small mining community in Northern Sweden, where a group of youngsters about to take the leap in the adult age fight with themselves and the world around, while the ground literally trembles under their feet.

IL FUTURO - The Future (2013)
JT has financed the original music of 'Il Futuro', the sensual drama co-produced by Chile, Italy, Germany and Spain - and whose score was composed by Paris-based French-Chilean rock band Beta Pictoris (Pánico).
The film was selected for Sundance Film Festival 2013 and won the KNF Award 2013 at the International Film Festival Rotterdam. So far, 'Il Futuro' has been released several territories, amongst which Chile, Germany and Italy.
GAME - Game: But whose Game is it? (2013)
JT has financed the original music of 'Game', thriller-drama directed by Miles Roston, produced and written by Charles Liburd (NMNC Films) - and whose score was composed by American composer William Wells.
The film tells the story of four individuals on a journey to find reconciliation, transformation, and acceptance.
THE KING OF MONT VENTOUX (2013)
JT has financed the original music of 'The King of Mont Ventoux', a unique archive-based documentary of Dutch, Belgian, and French co-production - and whose score was composed by NITS, the prolific Dutch art-pop group.
The documentary, which presents a pan-European TV & crossmedia event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Tour de France, has already been broadcasted on over 12 TV channels.
LOST PLACE (2013)
JT has provided synch and financing for 'Lost Place', the 3D mystery thriller of German production, distributed by NFP and Warner Brothers - and whose score was carried out by German music composer Adrian Sieber.
'Lost Place' is the first German feature film to have ever been mixed in Dolby Atmos sound format. The film was recently awarded the 'Best 3D Film with immersive 3D Sound' at the International 3D Film Festival.
WRESTLING IN DAKAR - Madame Tyson (2013)
JT has financed the original music of 'Wrestling in Dakar', the creative documentary co-produced by Poland and France - and whose score was composed by Polish-based musician of Senegalese origins Pako Sarr. The soundtrack album features Polish singer-songwriter Kayah.
The documentary has already been pre-sold to over 10 TV channels worldwide and is being broadcasted in several countries.
PARALLAX SOUNDS (2012)
JT has financed the original music of 'Parallax Sounds', the creative documentary co-produced by Italy, Germany and the US - and whose score was composed by Ken Vandermark including two original songs by David Grubbs. The film features musicians who contributed to shape the vibrant Chicago underground music scene from the 90s onwards, namely Ken Vandermark, David Grubbs, Steve Albini, Damon Locks, Ian Williams and Azita Youssefi.
The documentary 'Parallax Sounds' explores the intimate connection between music and urban landscape in Chicago. It is directed by the award-winning Italian filmmaker Augusto Contento and produced by Giancarlo Grande (Pàlé Films - Pirates à l’écran).
VANISHING WAVES - Aurora (2012)
JT has financed the original music of 'Vanishing Waves', the sci-fi romantic thriller co-produced by Lithuania, Belgium and France, - and whose score was composed by Paris-based Swedish song-writer, record producer and film music composer Peter von Poehl.
The film partook in festivals worldwide and won more than 20 awards, amongst which four awards at US-Fantastic Fest 2012 for best feature, director, screenplay and actress, the Golden Mélies for the best European fantastic film, HR Gigger price at NIFF, and best film 2012 at Rio Grind Film Festival in Vancouver.
KISS ME - Kyss Mig (2011)
JT has financed the original music of 'Kiss Me', art-house romantic drama of Swedish production - and whose score was composed by Marc Collin (Nouvelle Vague).
